Born in Lyon in 1979, Adrien Rivollier worked first as stage manager for several France 3 TV productions. He directed his first 52’ documentary in 2005, A HARD LANDING filmed in a juvenile detention center. This film was the starting point for a series of documentaries about the justice system and difficult youths, notably CHILDHOOD AT COURT (2007 – Childhood Foundation Award) and CRIMINAL GAMES (2012 – Childhood Foundation Award), which were both widely seen on France 2. The film TIGRAN has been Adrien’s first solo project uniting his passion for music and jazz with his previous films’ intimate approach. He’s just completed the film CHEIKH MONDHER, PROFESSION IMAM, a portrait of the Imam of the Grande Mosque in Lyon.

Adrien Rivollier also works as a documentary camera operator on projects by other directors and directs also films about Art and corporate films.
